Delta of Hope International is a global outreach Christian ministry. We are completely funded by the support of donors and partners. We have started our missions in Nairobi Kenya and we plan to expand to other parts of the globe.
Welcome to a new era, a new way to spread the gospel. Delta of Hope holds a worship service and shares the gospel of Jesus Christ everytime they feed a child.
We strive to give hope through acts of kindness with our feeding programs, worship sessions, gospel message and providing school uniforms and school supplies for children in need.
Over the course of two years, many children have received Jesus Christ as their Savior. We also desire to plant churches in these communities for the families to come worship and learn about the Lord.
Delta of Hope International is different than other feeding organizations that empowers you to feed and support only one child with your donation. We also disciple the children we feed. They are taught about Jesus Christ and learn about stories from the Word of God. Also, with other feeding organizations the children themselves have to wait until they are chosen to be sponsored, this process can take years leaving that child unsponsored and feeling unloved. With Delta of Hope every child in school is fed, clothed and discipled. When you become a one time donor or monthly partner you will feed and discipline hundreds of children. You will become a change maker with any donation given. You will receive a picture of one of the children you will be feeding along with a hand drawn thank you card from that child.

Victory Kids Centre has 150 students. We are feeding this school on Thursdays during the school year.
Both schools are located in the heart of Mukuru Slums and the only way to get there is by walking through sewage and debris. We are feeding this school porridge every Tuesday during the school year..
Locals call this place the slums, In the slums, whole families survive in tiny one-roomed corrugated iron shacks. Few homes have access to electricity and up to twenty families might share a communal water tap and latrine.
The area is considered unsafe due to the air pollution caused by incineration of varied waste, as well as the stench from the unauthorized landfills. There is no transportation deep in the slums mainly due to the sewage flowing in the alleys and the makeshifts shacks that are built close to one another. The heartbreaking truth is that these children never leave this landfill, they never play in grass, they never climb trees, they never enjoy the beauty of nature.
Delta of Hope desires to change this hard truth for many children.
Due to the terrain the schools are only accessible by foot. The heart breaking truth is the fact these children never leave the slums.
Unfortunately these precious children live among this filth with only rotten wooden boards that serves as bridges into their rusty scrap metal homes.
On the first day we visited the schools I didn't take many pictures or videos due to being in complete disbelief of the condition of the children and their environment.
Due to the intense poverty these children go for long periods of time without meals they are tired and malnourished.
A dripping faucet with a hose that is buried in sewage.
Royson Solly is a living testimony of what an orphan living in the Kenya slums experiences on a daily bases. He still feels the hurt, desperation, hunger and hopelessness when he looks into the eyes of a child living in the Murkuru Slums of Kenya. By the grace of God Royson Solly was able to break free from the slums and started his career as a young adult. He taught Bible and Theology at the Pan Christian University in Kenya for 10 years before going back into the slums to start feeding the children and teaching them the word of God.
Delta of Hope International was founded in 2023 by a group of five individuals living in different locations around the globe. Their love for God, compassion for hungry children and the desire to make an impact brought these individuals together. Since then, we have grown into a thriving nonprofit, we are licensed as a Non Government Organization in Kenya while also being certified as a 501c3 Non -Profit Organization in the United States.
Our team is made up of dedicated individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of the children we serve. From cooked porridge and ministry outreach to providing school uniforms for children in need. We work together to share the word of God and teach the children about purpose filled lives.
We desire to feed more schools and disciple more children.
We plan to start a Break the Chains sponsorship program. This program will allow a donor to choose the child whom they desire to sponsor. The child will be sent to a high school where they are fed and study. The child will also go to college and receive a degree. This program will break the chains of poverty that has been passed down to the child from generations.
We plan to help the children that are wondering the sewage filled alleyways by paying their school fees, buying their school uniforms and placing them in a class where we are holding the feeding programs.
The Children in the schools we are currently feeding are just like children in other parts of the world. They all have hopes and dreams, and when asked, what they what to be when they grow up, they will tell you high careers and goals they have set in their lives. From teachers to pastors, these children want a different life, one that is full of plans and purpose. Delta of Hope desires to teach the children about following Jesus Christ and living a purpose filled life.
When I look back, I would say God used my childhood life experience to prepare me for this ministry of compassion. I was born and grew up in a small poor village in Africa, Kenya. My parents were peasant farmers although my dad occasionally travelled to the city for some casual jobs.
In early nineties when I was a teenager, my parents separated following a long sour relationship. And thereafter, shortly, my dad died of cancer. My mother too after a long illness also succumb to the same disease two years later. Now, as the eldest son in the family, I was left behind with my younger siblings.
These sudden tragic events fell on us like a bombshell. We were left hopeless and helpless. I felt hell had broken loose on us. In my naivety, I thought our nearby uncle and auntieswould come to our aide. However, that was not to be. They turned a thorn in our flesh. By their hand, I survived food poisoning and many other schemes they had laid before me to kill me. With the help of God, I missed death by a whisker.
Now for many years that followed, we went through it all. We survived for many days without eating food. We slept in the cold and suffered the loneliness and desperation of being alone in the world. I yearned for parental love and care, but it was in vain. I groaned in pain and anger, but it got lost in the thin air. No one ever cared!
Through this experience, I know the stress poverty brings to a child. I know the pain of pangs of hunger. The loneliness and struggles of an orphan. I know the shame of walking to school on bear-foot and with tattered school uniforms. In fact, in my entire schooling time, I have spent so much time outside the classroom because of poverty and lack than being in. There is so much mental, emotional and psychological torture a child goes through while facing uncertain future.
The magnitude of challenges which orphans and children living in poverty go through is untold. They become susceptible to all manner of social abuse and misuse. They easily become anything since they don’t see the meaning of life, a gangster, drugs peddlers and addicts, prostitute etc.
Now, in all these, when I look back, I see that the LORD God was preparing me for the ministry of compassion. When I see His people go through the same struggles, my heart melts down in pain. I know that He has called me to share His love and inspire hope to the hopeless, and there is no doubt about it.
After the world shut down due to Covid, my twenty year old cleaning business also came to a close. Then, a year later I became sick with Coronavirus and shorty after suffered a monoclonal antibodies infusion injury. I became bedridden off and on for the next two years. During this time, I learned about Royson Solly and his ministry feeding the children living in Kenya. Pastor Wayne Shortt, my uncle and the Pastor over my family church, had a year long partnership with Royson and together with the church’s support they fed two public schools in the most poverty stricken areas of Nairobi Kenya. I prayed about what I could do to help in this mission. I began writing children’s books to sell to raise money. I taught myself graphic design so I could illustrate my own books. On most days laying in bed and writing was the only thing I could physically do. After seeing specialists and experiencing reoccurring ER visits, I was diagnosed with Dysautonomia. The cause of the condition was due to the coronavirus and the monoclonal antibody infusion I had received, which attacked my autonomic nervous system. Today, I am back on my feet. God is healing me. I feel better and I am becoming stronger everyday. I was inspired when I heard a wise man say “Let your disability become your ability” because this is what I am pressing to achieve. I plan on devoting myself to help this ministry grow. Work on setting up more feeding locations at other schools. We also plan to build and plant churches in these communities we are feeding. I am beyond grateful to be a member of Delta of Hope International. We plan on starting our mission and ministry in Kenya and then working our way around the globe planting churches, feeding schools and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in whatever direction God may lead us.
Matthew 19:26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible”.
I am a child of God, a wife, and a mother to eleven children. I work with the Youth, Children and Ladies Groups at FBTV Ministries which is my home church. God has directed me towards ministering to women and children. I am also involved with missions in our church and have been to Haiti, Ghana, and Kenya to minister and share the word of God. In most cultures and in most places in the world, women and children are oppressed, neglected and/or abused. If I can show them the love of Christ and shine His light to them, things can start to change.
Rose was born and raised up in Kenya, Africa. She has a calling into compassionate ministry. Her love to work with and minister to poor children is unmatched. They started the work of feeding children on the slum’s streets with her husband in the year 2021. This was during the Covid 19 global devastation. It was an act of faith because they both had no income after her husband lost his job.
She draws her strength and inspiration from the life and teachings of Jesus Christ on children. Furthermore, her childhood life under the care of her poor grandmother after her father abandoned her and the mother got married away taught her humility and empathy. She is a strong believer and one of the leaders in the church Choir. She is married and a mother of four children namely: Joy, Glory, Blessed and Hope.
Besides working in Delta Of Hope International as a Treasurer and Board Member, she is well trained in tailoring and dress making and hence occasional trains new students in this field. We are looking forward to having her help in training widows and poor women in slums to acquire skills in tailoring so that they can have the ability of earning an income to fend for themselves under the poverty alleviation program.
We are always looking for passionate and dedicated volunteers to help us carry out our mission. Whether you have a few hours to spare or want to make a long-term commitment, there are many ways to get involved and make a difference.
